    Exploring the Nexus between the Absorptive Capacity, Corporate Sustainability, Supply Chain Agility and Manufacturing Firm Performance

    The study has intended to examine the absorptive capacity on the firm performance of the Indonesian firms. The study has also examined the mediating effect of SC agility in the relationship between the absorptive capacity and the firm performance. Lastly, the study has examined the mediating role of corporate sustainability in the relationship between the absorptive capacity and the firm performance. The data is collected from the middle managers of the mining firms in Indonesia. the authors have employed the convenient sampling. The authors have distributed in total the  320 questionnaires. The response rate of the current study is 67 percent. The influence of SC agility as a mediator has been analyzed between absorptive capacity and performance of the firm. It was found by the study that SC agility fully mediates the relation between absorptive capacity and performance of the firm. The literature on competitiveness of SC has been improved by adding empirical evidence. Moreover, there is need to leverage both absorptive capacity and SC agility to improve the performance of a firm. It has been suggested by results that superior performance could be achieved transformation of absorptive capacity through SC agility.     Resource Supply Attributes Affecting Delay of High-Rise Building Construction in Thailand

    Delay is one of the serious problems in the construction industry, particularly in high-rise building construction projects in Thailand. Therefore, this research aims to investigate the major causes and effects of delay problems in high-rise building construction projects in Thailand. The study employs both quantitative and qualitative study with concurrent mixed method design. Thirty-three causes and nine effects extracted from the literature review were used as the basis for further analysis. Relative Importance Index technique was used to analyse and calculate to the ranking of causes and effects of delay in Thai construction projects. The survey results were compared with the interview to unearth the true major causes of delay in Thai high-rise building construction projects. The results showed that the most significant factors of construction delay were: (1) change orders, (2) financial problem of contractor, (3) slow decision-making, (4) shortage of labour, (5) improper planning, (6) lack of good communication, (7) third party delay such as subcontractors or suppliers, (8) ambiguity of shop drawing designs, (9) shortage of construction materials and (10) late payment by owners. In terms of potential effects, the results indicated that the five most important effects were a delay in obtaining funds and profits for owners and contractors, cost overrun, time overrun, low quality due to hasty work and arbitration.     Development of Supply Chain Management Sustainability Index (SCMsi)

    The reason for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) is to sustain the preservation of planet and prosperity of society. Thus, it is necessary for corporations to have a reliable, relevant and standardized sustainability supply chain management (SSCM) reporting practice. Companies’ proper disclosure of its supply chain management information will enable stakeholders to evaluate the firm’s supply chain management performance efficiently. Using content analysis, this study proposes a development of a comprehensive SSCM disclosure checklist i.e., Supply Chain Management Sustainability Index (SCMsi). SSCM is an all-inclusive view of supply chain processes, logistics and technologies that considers the environmental, social, economic and legal aspects of a supply chain's components. It will become a benchmark in the reporting of SSCM indicators, besides acting as monitoring mechanism to measure listed companies in advancing sustainable development agenda. This paper will be useful for organization in identifying ideal criteria of SCMsi that will contribute towards the best practices of supply chain management
